As the go-to person for our valued customers on-site, you'll skillfully manage customer interactions with a touch of professionalism and expertise, tackling a diverse range of rotating equipment challenges.

 

 

Our Falkirk Service Centre is the UK’s High Voltage Service Centre of Excellence, is at the forefront of cutting-edge maintenance solutions for rotating machinery. Serving diverse sectors such as Wind/Hydro Power, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, and Water, we are committed to reducing repair times and boosting productivity to ensure our customers experience minimal downtime.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our valued customers at their sites or locations, managing all customer interactions with professionalism and expertise.
  • Conduct fault-finding activities on a diverse range of rotating machinery, showcasing your technical prowess and problem-solving skills. Disassembly, mechanical QA checks, electrical testing, overhaul, repair, assembly, service, and maintenance of all types of high and low voltage AC motors and generators (Predominantly HV Machines)
  • Installation, removal, and replacement of HV motors, generators and white metal bearings.
  • Execute the dismantling, inspection, and rebuilding of machinery in adherence to pre-established Undertake equipment removal, installations, and commissioning activities, contributing to seamless project execution.
  • work scopes.
  • Uphold the highest standards of on-site work quality, guaranteeing excellence in every aspect of our service delivery.
  • Conduct alignment checks using either DTIs or Laser alignment equipment.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised apprenticeship or possession of an Electrical / Mechanical engineering qualification.
  • Previous demonstrable experience of overhaul and repair of all types of electric motors and generators including (LV & HV). Along with other rotating equipment such as pumps and gearboxes
  • Laser alignment, baker testing, electrical winding, vibration analysis and on-site balancing skills are desirable, however not essential
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changes in project requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring precision in every task.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, establishing trust and confidence with our clients.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
