Sulzer, a leading OEM Pump Manufacturer and provider of maintenance services for diverse rotating equipment in the water industry, is seeking a Key Account Manager  to support our Service & Aftermarket operations for a key water utilities framework in the Midlands. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive growth, identify untapped opportunities, and expand existing accounts within the water sector. Location:
This is a home-based position, ideally suited to candidates based in the Midlands region or within a commutable distance of key utility hubs.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand Sulzer’s presence in the water utilities industry.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Maximise business potential by developing and nurturing existing accounts.
  • Identify key decision-makers within utility companies and understand their unique needs.
  • Refine strategic pricing and adapt value propositions for service offerings.
  • Establish long-term relationships with clients, positioning Sulzer as their trusted partner for rotating equipment services in the water sector.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in technical sales with a strong understanding of the sales process.
  • Background in the water industry, with expertise in rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, mixers, blowers, turbines, compressors).
  • A motivated, results-driven attitude to grow accounts and secure new business.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A willingness to travel; a Full UK Driver’s Licence is essential.
