Come and join Sulzer Services UK as our Environment, Health & Safety Specialist (Field Service). We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven ESH Specialist to cover our customer sites. If you are highly motivated, willing to lead by example, have excellent communication skills, you can help us drive and grow ESH and take it to the next level.



This is a home-based role with regular travel to our Sulzer Services Head office conveniently located on the Birmingham business park.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring the requirements of Sulzer UK management system and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are implemented and adhered to
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the UK ESH management system through the sharing of local best practice and lessons learnt
  • Plan and support the completion of suitable and sufficient method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
  • Complete audits and site inspections to ensure effectiveness and compliance to the ESH Management System, including planning and supporting customer audits
  • Maintain an effective system for identifying, reporting and implementation of corrective actions resulting from system non-conformance, site inspections, customer audits, investigations, statutory examinations, etc.
  • Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement


To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven ESH experience in a similar role preferably from a high-risk environment
  • Hold a level 3 NEBOSH National General certificate
  • Knowledge of UK/European ESH standards/legislation
  • Membership of either IOSH / IEMA or equivalent HS&E bodies would be advantageous 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
