Join our Services_EMEA  team within Services division in United Kingdom as Welding Team Leader to help us take the workshop to the next level of customer satisfaction and service delivery. 


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support for your direct reports
  • Conduct appraisals, incident logs, disciplinary and performance management, absence management and investigations.
  • Proactively promote a positive health and safety culture, leading by example and challenging noncompliance.
  • Aid in the development of Weld procedures and qualifications
  • Coordinate work tasks to employees, ensuring they are fully equipped and versed on the requirements, supervise the work to completion, meeting deadline and exceeding quality and safety expectations.
  • Collaborate to determine the most optimum approach to execute the work efficiently and effectively, provide support with any trouble shooting complex activities
  • Coordinate tasks, overtime and holidays for your direct reports.
  • Ensure sufficient supplies, tools and equipment are available for the department
  • Liaise with the works manager to ensure all tasks and projects are completed on time.
  • Responsible for employee utilisation for optimisation of service delivery.


To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong background in mechanical engineering, ideally within mechanical rotating and static equipment.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Experience in welding processes such as MIG, TIG and MMA
  • IOSH Health and Safety for supervisors is desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
  • Methodical, with attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise workload and flexible to adapt to changing requirements when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills to converse with people at all levels and excel at leading a team.

Location:  We are based on the outskirts of York you will be close the historic walled City of York, whilst only a few minutes’ drive off the Outer Ring Road and 10 minutes’ drive to the A64, this road connects to the A1M and M1.  York is a city with a lot to offer with, a wide variety of shops, theatres, and fab restaurants. As well as cool bars and a pub for almost every day of the year.
