As the Quality & Continuous Improvement Lead, you will collaborate closely with the Service Centre management team. You will be fully responsible for quality and continuous improvement initiatives at the York Service Centre. Your role will not only involve identifying issues but also implementing effective corrective actions to enhance quality and operational efficiency.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership in defining quality procedures to drive, improve, and promote a quality culture within the Service Centre.
  • Lead the management, implementation, and monitoring of regional quality system requirements, customer requirements, and third-party audit requirements, including Supplier Quality management, Customer feedback, and Non-conformance Management.
  • Analyse non-conformance and root cause trends, implementing improvements to reduce the cost of poor quality and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Lead LEAN and continuous improvement projects and activities, working alongside the Service Centre management team to implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Own the internal audit programme and support external audits for the Service Centre, analysing results to identify areas for focused improvement activities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • A formal qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field, and/or relevant experience within a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with adherence to ISO9001 standards.
  • Proven experience in managing a quality management system.
  • Comprehensive understanding of advanced Quality, LEAN, and Problem-Solving Tools/Techniques.
  • Skills in supplier conformance management and development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
