Quality & CI Lead - Maternity Cover - Full Time - York, United Kingdom

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and management of quality systems, audit compliance, and customer requirements at our York Service Centre
- Investigate and resolve quality issues through structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives alongside the local management team using LEAN methodology
- Manage the internal audit programme and support successful outcomes from customer and third-party audits
- Monitor supplier performance, working closely with procurement to ensure conformance and drive improvements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in mechanical engineering or significant industry experience in a relevant service or repair environment
- Sound knowledge of ISO9001 and experience managing quality management systems
- Experience leading LEAN or CI projects and applying structured problem-solving techniques
- Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills
- Understanding of repair processes, rotating equipment, and supplier quality expectations

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The York Service Centre plays a vital role in Sulzer’s UK network, delivering responsive general mechanical services including emergency breakdowns, part repairs, and remanufacturing. Our team is focused on technical excellence and customer satisfaction, and this role is crucial to upholding those standards throughout the contract period.
