As a leading OEM Pump Manufacturer and key provider of innovative products & maintenance services for diverse rotating equipment, Sulzer Water is seeking a dynamic and motivated Regional Sales Manager to drive our expansion in capital projects across the water industry. We are looking for a sales professional with a proven track record in Identifying untapped opportunities across, alliances, joint ventures, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders and expanding our footprint in the utilities sector. We are on the lookout for motivated sales professionals with experience in water sector services or rotating equipment, capable of driving our growth, and expanding existing accounts. Note: This is a home-based position, with a preference for candidates based in the North West of England
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans with a focus on capital projects, contractors, and consultants within the water sector.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in the utilities and water industry, understanding their needs and positioning Sulzer as a trusted partner.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including long-term service agreements, capital projects, and consultancy partnerships.
- Deliver technical solutions and strategies that align with customer requirements for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, and other electro-mechanical systems.
- Work closely with project teams and consultants to ensure successful implementation of contracts and services.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the full sales cycle, from proposal to execution.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in technical sales within the water sector, particularly in working with capital projects, contractors, or consultants.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, such as pumps, turbines, blowers, or compressors, and a solid understanding of water industry challenges.
- A results-oriented mindset with the ability to grow existing accounts while also driving new business development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to travel as required. A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
