T&I Polymer Specialist - Full Time - WinterthurSwitzerland

We are looking for a Polymer Specialist to join our Technology and Innovation team in Winterthur.

This position offers the opportunity to support research and customer trials, to keep our R&D operations running and to support our day to day activities in our Technology and Innovation hub.

 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Support R&D Projects:
    • Conduct systematic investigations on polymers processing.
    • Present results at group meetings and summarize your work in form of report. 
  • Support Customer Trials:
    • Assist in setting up and conducting customer trials at Foam and Devo line.
    • Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot issues during trials.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand needs.
  • Machinery and Equipment Management:
    • Maintain and troubleshoot various machinery and equipment used in polymer applications.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal working conditions.
    • Assist in the implementation of safety protocol and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Warehouse Inventory Management:
    • Manage inventory of raw materials, and equipment used in various activities. 
    • Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and keep accurate records of inventory. 
  • Assist in sample characterization using standardized measurement methods.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field. 
  • Proven experience working in a production or pilot plant setting, preferably in polymer processing.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments. 
  • Attention to details, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Teamwork, organizational talent, communication.
  • Fluency or intermediate level in English.
