We are looking for a Polymer Equipment Technician to join our Technology and Innovation team in Winterthur.

This position offers the opportunity to support customer trials, to keep our R&D operations running and to support our day to day activities in our Technology and Innovation hub.

 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Support Customer Trials:
    • Assist in setting up and conducting customer trials at Foam and Devo line.
    • Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot issues during trials.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand needs.
  • Machinery and Equipment Maintenance:
    • Maintain and troubleshoot various machinery and equipment used in polymer applications.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal working conditions.
    • Assist in the implementation of safety protocol and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Warehouse Inventory Management:
    • Manage inventory of raw materials, and equipment used in various activities. 
    • Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and keep accurate records of inventory. 
  • Prepare produced Samples for Shipment. 
  • Assist in sample characterization using standardized measurement methods.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Further education or vocational training in a relevant area (e.g. Chemie- und Pharmatechnologe/-login EFZ.
    Kunststofftechnologe/-login EFZ).
  • Proven experience working in a production or pilot plant setting, preferably in polymer processing.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments. 
  • Attention to details, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Teamwork, organizational talent, communication.
  • Fluency or intermediate level (B1/B2) in the following languages, German and English.
