We are looking for a Senior Project Controller to join our CT_HQ & SBD team in Switzerland to help us take Project Controlling to the next level.


 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Globally manage all financial aspects of the individual projects/contracts
  • Support Project teams in organizing the contacts with banks and any financial institution to execute contracts in compliance with Sulzer rules 
  • Support foreign exchange hedging, bonds and guarantees
  • Optimize Project cash and manage foreign currency risk
  • Perform pertinent analysis on financial data (achievements, target, forecasts) to help ensure achievement of Project objectives and propose appropriate solutions to mitigate risks
  • Ensure that Project Reviews are held in accordance with relevant procedures and ensure consistency and compliance with Sulzer accounting rules
  • Properly account for risks in the Project financials
  • Build the contract accounting, including cash, based on data collected through ERP systems and from data on the Projects
  • Liaise with accounting for correct revenue recognition
  • Ensure reporting consistency with operations / manufacturing / sourcing, including participating entities
  • Properly report risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans, as well as monitor the cash flow of the contracts
  • Help build Business forecasts, based on the forecast of their individual Project(s) 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Degree in Finance or a related field
  • Proven experience with 10+ years
  • Experience in project accounting, project cost planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Strong business partnering; proper oral and written communication is a must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good project background and technical writing skills
  • IT Skills: MS Office, SAP a must
