Senior Process Engineer, Polymer & Reaction Technologies - Full Time - Winterthur, Switzerland

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer, Polymer & Reaction Technologies to join our Chemtch, Polymer & Crystallization team in Switzerland .

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Design and calculate entire chemical plants, ranging from pilot scale to world-scale commercial plants
  • Plan and support pilot tests to ensure successful outcomes
  • Analyse and evaluate comprehensive data from our pilot plants to optimize processes
  • Provide sales support during the tender phase to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation for quality and compliance purposes
  • Size Sulzer propriety equipment accurately for various projects
  • Take ownership of the improvement and development of technology in coordination with R&D
  • Participate in, and travel to, client meetings, providing support and advisory services on site

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Minimum of 5 years` experience in technology/process development, design, and construction of chemical plants, ideally in the field of separation, bioprocesses and/or polymer technologies
  • University level degree in Chemical or Process engineering - other related technical disciplines are welcome
  • Experience in modelling chemical processes using simulation software (e.g., PRO II, Aspen, Chemcad)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with diverse stakeholders, and collaborate efficiently within the team, taking a hands-on approach
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is an asset
  • Willingness to travel and spend time abroad for meetings and commissioning, approx. 20 %
