Join our team within Chemtech division in Switzerland as Global Quality Engineer POFC.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Managing the Project Quality requirements as part of the Project Team, in the pre- and post-contract phase
- Preparing and reviewing Project Quality related documents, e.g. Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Welding Documents, Manufacturer Data Books, material certificates
- Set-up of a global 3rd party QC (QA) network, including preparation of a working framework for 3rd parties support, specific to POFC scope and supporting the POFC “Global Strategic Supplier Development” program
- Representing the Quality Department in meetings with customers and suppliers, with the Project Team and other internal stakeholders
- Preparing and leading the Pre-Inspection Meetings
- Planning and Coordinating 3rd party inspections at suppliers
- On-side tasks at suppliers for quality related topics when required
- Execution of tasks belonging to CE marking for the project
- Support of project managers at sales phase and review (if required issue) of purchase specifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Technical education background in mechanical and/or metallurgical
- Profound knowledge as Welding Engineer in issuing WPS and performing PQRs and WPQs
- NDE Level 2 for VT, PT, RT
- Profound knowledge in Pressure Vessel Design Codes such as ASME VIII, EN 13445 EN 13480, AD2000 (other Pressure Vessel Design Codes are beneficial)
- Good knowledge about regulations such as TSG21 or KOSHA
- Profound knowledge about EC Directives such as PED, MD, etc.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance in the pressure vessel business or in the rotating equipment business
- Time management and prioritizing skills with ability to work under pressure
- A team player with ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong language skills in English and German (other languages are beneficial)
