We are looking for a Project Buyer to join our CT_Polymer & Crystallization  team in Switzerland.  

 

The role will include managing the procurement process end-to-end by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods or services to meet the organization’s needs efficiently and cost-effectively, with regard to both internal and external projects, coordinating proactively with other functions.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Manage all procurement activities in several concurrent projects (internal and external).
  • Develop project procurement strategy to support project requirements.
  • Define supplier lists based on preferred suppliers, project specifications and market conditions.
  • Manage the RFx process and lead selection and award recommendation process within the project team.
  • Negotiate contracts with awarded vendors in terms of commercial conditions and T&Cs (with legal dept).
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of costs, quality and delivery times.
  • Issue and keep the purchase orders updated in SAP and other company systems.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • A minimum of two years of experience working in this or a similar field
  • Basic understanding of pressure vessels and custom engineered packages market and features 
  • Basic understanding of engineering project execution and principles 
  • Basic understanding of the typical P2P cycle steps 
  • Willingness to learn, grow and adapt to changing scenarios 
  • Strong communication skills and a problem-solving attitude 
  • Fluency in English
