Planner and Expeditor - Full Time - WinterthurSwitzerland

We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner and Expeditor to oversee the timely production and delivery of industrial equipment manufactured by our subcontractors. In this key role, you will ensure that all goods are delivered on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards. Your contributions will be critical in supporting efficient project timelines and successful supplier relationships.  

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

As a Planner, you will oversee the following tasks:

  • Working closely with the Project Managers, Project Directors and Project team to develop, maintain, and

manage the project schedules based on contractual requirements.

  • Regularly report to the Planner Manager the critical path, schedule content, dependencies, lag and

milestones.

  • Reviewing internal project disciplines work progress and incorporate them into the project plan.
  • Reviewing vendor schedule submittals and incorporate appropriate information into the project plan.
  • Identifying opportunities to accelerate and/or optimize resources allocation and mitigate potential risks and

delays.

  • Contribute to the optimization of tools to support the Project Planning activities.

 

As an Expediter, you will oversee the following tasks:

  • Monitoring and expediting the production of raw materials and goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicating regularly with the suppliers to get updates on order status, as well as the project team and the project planner to share progression.
  • Solving problems and managing recovery plans in case of damaged goods or manufacturing delays with the suppliers and the project team.
  • Ensuring that the suppliers’ schedules are aligned with our internal requirements.
  • Taking part in the Kick-off and Inspection meetings throughout the project duration.
  • Coordinate the goods delivery with the logistics groups.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Technical Education (University or Apprenticeship in Engineering or related field)
  • Recent Graduates or professionals with 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisation and time management skills
