Sulzer is on the lookout for a Global Planning & Scheduling Manager to join our energy team within the Flow Equipment division. A great opportunity where you can make your mark setting up, implementing, and managing systems and processes for the project scheduling function across our Energy business.
We are going through a period of growth; a great time to join us on our journey to drive a better customer experience by improving OTD (On-time Delivery). You will work across our diverse multi-cultural global team and have exposure to an exciting portfolio of projects, applications, and customers.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Harmonize and standardize project scheduling processes across all Sulzer Energy PM hubs
- Implement critical path & float methodology
- Define standard templates & WBS (work breakdown structure) for Tender and Project Schedules
- Assist in the creation of Tender Schedules (pre-award) and Project Schedules (post-award) for critical/complex tenders/projects and ensure their regular updating
- Support project teams in foresing planning and schedule analysis in the context of claim management
- Guide project teams with schedule improvement and mitigating actions during monthly project reviews
- Work closely with global factory planning to incorporate manufacturing schedules
- Drive OTD (on-time delivery) through better schedule management, risk identification, and best practice sharing across the Energy business unit
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience as a Scheduling Manager (OEM or EPC); first-hand experience as a project scheduler; knowledge of Microsoft Project (or Primavera) & SAP
- Experience in driving global improvement & transformation initiatives
- Engineering degree
- Ability to work in a matrix with no direct reports
- Ability to design, review and manage complex systems and processes
- An ability to assimilate information and communicate with stakeholders
- Proactive nature with a desire to continuously improve processes and problem solve
- Excellent attention to detail
- Hands-on approach
