Join our finance team within the Division Flow Equipment as Financial Controller for the Business Unit Energy and help us taking the controlling activities to the next level.

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Supporting the Business Unit Energy Head of Finance by delivering comprehensive and timely financial information for the purpose of business management and decision making
  • Month-end closing activities incl. variance and root cause analysis (e.g., actuals vs. budget and prior month forecast)
  • Ensure timely submission of legal entity reporting packages related to operations according to Sulzer accounting standards, along with ensuring accuracy of financial records
  • Preparation of monthly operations results, such as quality results, absorption, inventory, etc. 
  • Coordination and support the preparation of the monthly MIS presentation and calls
  • Performing various ad-hoc reporting requests and analysis to provide better visibility on BU Financials  
  • Drive improvements in reporting and digitalization for Business Excellence team incl. simplification of processes
  • Actively supporting budgeting and forecasting process
  • Provide support and review the calculation of hourly rates per legal entity

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, Finance or Controlling
  • At least 5 years of experience in controlling or financial planning and analysis (FP&A), preferably in an industrial company
  • Experience in Operations / Production Controlling is preferred
  • Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel) and strong knowledge of PowerPoint 
  • Experience with SAP BPC, SAP ERP (FI/CO modules) and business application tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to prioritize responsibilities, tasks and processes, while being a problem solver.
  • A flexible and adaptive team player with a positive attitude
  • Fluent in English, German is beneficial
