Business Partner Internal Communications & Group Functions - Full Time - Winterthur, Switzerland

We are seeking a dynamic Business Partner Internal Communications & Group Functions to lead internal communications at both the global and group level. In this pivotal and hands-on role, you will ensure that key topics — including strategic initiatives like Sulzer 2028 — are clearly understood across all levels of the organization. As the main communications partner for all group functions, you will connect our diverse global workforce through consistent, engaging, and impactful messaging.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Act as a communications business partner and first point of contact for key functions (e.g. Legal, Procurement, IT, Finance), supporting internal events, announcements, townhalls, messages, and speeches. 
  • Lead internal communications to ensure impactful messaging, in close collaboration with HR and divisional internal communication coordinators. 
  • Ensure consistent and aligned messaging across internal channel.
  • Organize group-level corporate communication events such as townhalls and C-level coffee talks.
  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve internal communication channels (Intranet, Viva Engage) to enhance clarity and engagement.
  • Support local business leaders in communicating effectively with white- and blue-collar employees.
  • Ensure a consistent and aligned approach to strategy communication across the organization (e.g. Sulzer 2028 cascading).
  • Contribute to editorial planning and maintain the internal content calendar.
  • Lead or co-lead major internal events, including Leadership meetings. 
  • Manage group sponsorship projects in partnership with HR to support broader engagement and communication goals.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in communication sciences, journalism or other business-related field. 
  • 5-8 years' experience in internal communications focusing on group functions, ideally within a stock listed or matrix-organized company. 
  • Passionate about building and nurturing relationships across all levels of the organization. 
  • Confident, dynamic personality with a hands-on mentality. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (native/proficient level).
