Business Partner Communications Divisions - Full Time - Winterthur, Switzerland

We’re seeking a proactive and engaging communications professional to step into the role of Business Partner Communications – Divisions. This is a hands-on, strategic position at the heart of our business, supporting the communication needs of our three divisions: Flow, Services, and Chemtech. 

Operating at the intersection of business and communication, you’ll play a key role in driving alignment, delivering impactful messaging, and supporting divisional priorities across internal and external channels. This is a unique opportunity to partner closely with the business, influence strategic messaging, and shape Sulzer’s brand and voice across diverse audiences and global markets.
 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Serve as the first point of contact for communication needs across the Flow, Services, and Chemtech divisions, acting as a trusted business partner.
  • Lead internal communications initiatives for the divisions including announcements, internal campaigns, townhalls, newsletters, factory visits, and leadership communications such as social media. 
  • Ensure consistent and aligned messaging across internal and external communication channels. 
  • Create and manage external communication content in close collaboration with Group Communications, including trade media releases, thought leadership articles, interviews, and cooperation with local agencies. 
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and deliver social media content for the divisions. 
  • Gather, review, and curate communication topics from across the divisions through close engagement with business and marketing stakeholders. 
  • Align divisional content and activities with the Group editorial calendar.
  • Support the rollout of Group-wide initiatives within the divisions, ensuring relevance and effective communication. 
  • Coordinate and contribute content for financial and investor reporting related to the divisions. 
  • Monitor and report potential communication risks and issues, ensuring timely response and alignment. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in communication sciences, journalism or other business-related field. 
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in expert communications roles, ideally within a stock listed, industrial company.
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp new topics, work hands-on, and stay highly organized and self-driven in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the agility to adapt communication style effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (native/proficient level).
