Accounting Manager - Full Time - WinterthurSwitzerland

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Winterthur, Switzerland.

 

In this key role, you will manage a team of professionals, oversee financial reporting in accordance with Swiss law, and act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders. Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Professional and personnel management of the financial and operational accounting of Sulzer Management AG, supervising 3 direct reports.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to the Swiss Code of Obligations.
  • Control and management of cost center and profit center accounting, regularly reviewing value flows and their processes.
  • Handling fixed asset accounting and monitoring CAPEX, including coordinating the IC netting process and monthly determination of foreign exchange hedges.
  • Leading the annual statutory audit and managing tax matters such as VAT, withholding tax, tax regulations, and cash forecasting.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Additional qualifications or certifications in Accounting and Financial Management are welcomed.
  • 4–5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including leadership and team management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting and financial reporting laws, IAS/IFRS standards, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SAP FI/CO.  
  • Leadership experience, including in advisory roles, conceptual planning, and training activities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple areas of responsibility, adapt effectively to change, and solve complex problems.
  • Fluency in German and English.
