We are looking for a/an Safety Officer to join our FE_WIBU team in Ireland .
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the ESH manager, to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, codes of practice and Sulzer standards regarding management of safety, health and environment.
- Work closely with the management team, value stream leads, team leaders and operators as well as other support functions of the business to implement, develop and support ESH initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for the Environmental Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS)
- Support the ESH function to maintain compliance with applicable standards, including ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Readiness to travel Occasional national & international travel
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- QQI Level 7 - Health and Safety qualification or equivalent.
- QQI Level 6 - Environmental Management qualification or equivalent
- Professional experience incl. markets, international experience etc.
- Computer skills (MS Office inc. Outlook). Knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365 would be useful.
- Experience working in mechanical/manufacturing industry is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with working in a team environment
- Work under own initiative to drive continual improvement
