The Sulzer Chemtech business unit Clean Fuels and Chemicals Licensing (CFCL) focuses on licensing process technologies and providing engineering services, equipment solutions, and chemicals to a variety of industries like refining & renewables, chemicals & petrochemicals, polymers & plastics recycling.
 

We are growing our portfolio by bringing in plastics recycling technology. Recently we have acquired a strategic stake within the chemical recycling scale-up, Fuenix.  In this close collaboration Sulzer is supporting the further development and commercialization of the technology. To realize the ambitious growth path, Sulzer is looking for a Senior Process Engineer Plastic Recycling which will be embedded in the Fuenix team. 
 
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Project & Process engineering support for the realization of the Fuenix commercial scale line
  • Build Process Design Packages and be the technical lead during the execution of our licensing offerings 
  • Develop engineering support for the Fuenix technology and identify process challenges
  • Detect technology improvements and take the lead, in cooperation with Fuenix and Sulzer teams, to realize such improvements
  • Liase with Fuenix and Sulzer technical teams to drive forward the implementation of the Fuenix technology
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Fuenix team
  • Ensure compliance with Sulzer company policies

 
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Master’s degree in Process / Chemical Engineering
  • Extensive professional experience ( > 7 years) in the (petro)chemical industry 
  • You successfully delivered capital projects, either within an EPC company or within an owner’s engineering organization
  • You combine engineering knowledge with experience within an operations organization
  • Experience in Advanced Chemical Recycling or adjacent technologies (petrochemicals, refinery) is preferred
  • If you have developed new technologies, we would consider this a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Capable to act and be integrated in a dynamic environment
