We are looking for a/an Sales Engineer Industrial  to join our FE_WIBU  team in Italy .

 

Purpose of the job

Primarily sales responsible for developing the market in the assigned area for all Sulzer portfolio within Industrial market Working closely together with the regional sales management and supported by the regional and global teams, will be responsible of developing  and executing local strategies for a profitable growth, supporting the objectives of the overall business plan.

 

Synthesis of the role:

  • Door-to-door visits or scheduled appointments.
  • Product demonstrations.
  • Order collection and post-sale follow-up.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting.

 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Full order intake, sales and profit responsibility for Italy (Industry)
  • Define local plans and actions for the tactical deployment of the Sulzer Industry business unit sales plan within the country
  • Define, develop and execute local plans based upon the business strategy, leading to the achievement of agreed financial and market targets
  • Provide management feedback on local market conditions; including competitor activity, customer trends and pump / agitator / compressor investment trends
  • Homologation of SULZER as a supplier in the key Italians OEMs, EPCs and end users
  • Execute tendering activities together with the local sales support team. Supervise and follow-up the tendering activity associated to Italy. Prepare your main tenders (careful reading customer’s specifications, selection of adequate products, considering also TOA, 10 GR, COSP, PA and price calculation, Salesforce, Stars, precise deviation list, etc.)
  • Negotiations and participation in clarification rounds and kick off meetings
  • Supervise the order handling, follow up of projects from tendering to financial closure and maintain and execute customer order backlog of your assigned territories/accounts
  • Plan, direct and control the customer support function in Italy
  • Develop and foster relationship with selected key customers
  • Bring all ideas and suggestions to increase Sales effectiveness
  • Participate in and actively support company initiatives
  • Maintain the highest level of communication and information sharing with the team / peers
  • Assist Management on reporting (budget, rolling forecast, monthly business report and the like)
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations concerning business operations
  • Familiar with the environmental, risks and hazards aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage and mitigate the impact

    • Operational excellence, customer partnership and commitment
    • KPIs: OI, Sales, GP, EBIT & ONCF according to Corporate’s Policy and according to Global bonus system, goals defined on a yearly basis and considering growing

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

Educational background

  • University degree in Engineering or related field / equivalent education
  • High professional use of Microsoft products: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc
  • Demonstrable experience with a CRM (Sales Force preferably)
  • Previous experience on an ERP system (SAP) will be positive

 

Professional experience incl. markets, international experience etc.

  • Solid sales experience in pump business industry
  • In-depth knowledge of pump, agitation and compression businesses
  • Professional experience to formulate and implement a local business strategy
  • Readiness to travel on a frequent basis in the country and, occasionally, in the region
