About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Tendering Specialist/Engineer to support the nuclear new business market across the AME region. This role is based in Toronto, Canada, where the incumbent will work in close partnership with Sales to develop competitive, high-quality technical and commercial bids, providing professional offers and reports in support of the Head of Sales Nuclear AME, while reporting functionally to the Head of Tendering Global Nuclear Market. The position offers a strong growth trajectory, with the opportunity to develop into the role of Head of Sales Nuclear AME (Sales, Business Development, and Key Account Management) in the coming years.
Key Rresponsibilities:
- Support the nuclear sales team across the full bid and tender lifecycle
- Analyze customer requirements for nuclear power plant applications
- Develop technical solutions in collaboration with engineering and specialist teams
- Consulting customers and the sales team on pump applications and specification preparation
- Configure pumps and accessories; prepare and review technical specifications
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage technical negotiations
- Identify and assess technical and commercial risks during the bidding phase
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals and presentations
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (engineering, procurement, legal, quality, project management)
- Participate in customer and sales negotiations
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to project execution teams
- Maintain accurate data in CRM and tendering systems
- Collaborate with international factories and headquarters
- Travel as required (up to 25%)
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Degree in Engineering (commercial or business background an asset)
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or in progress is an asset
- Minimum 5 years of tendering experience
- Experience in the nuclear sector and/or rotating equipment (pump applications)
- Knowledge of applicable nuclear codes and standards
- Strong technical and commercial risk assessment skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex contracts and large data sets (e.g., Excel pricing models)
- Experience working in an international EPC environment
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage long‑cycle tenders (1-4 years) independently
