Quality Engineer - Full Time - TorontoCanada

Join our team within the Rotating Equipment Services division in Canada as our Quality Engineer to help us take Sulzer Rotating Equipment Services (Canada) Ltd. to the next level. 


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Review and approval of related order processing documents as required
  • Review and revision of quality assurance manuals and procedures as required
  • Review and provision of comments on customer purchase orders or order packages
  • Preparation and approval of customer documentation per purchase order requirements
  • Coordination with external organizations for audits, certifications, contracted service providers, etc
  • Maintaining a supplier approval program including auditing and review of supplier performance
  • Evaluation and advisement to management of quality program effectiveness.



Our successful candidate will develop, implement and maintain the facility quality program to the requirements of CSA N299.3  “Quality Assurance Program Requirements For The Supply of Items and Service for Nuclear Power Plants”, and specific customer requirements. Our candidate will be tasked with the review of nonconformance reports, and ensuring records, documentation and reports are processed per CSA 299.3 Quality Program requirements. This position functions independently, and will be responsible for maintenance of the nuclear quality program in all aspects.


To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Nuclear related experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of CSA N299 Quality Assurance Program is desirable
  • Experienced with implementation and maintenance of quality assurance programs
  • Degree in engineering or closely related field preferred
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta knowledge preferred
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to perform duties at a fast and demanding pace while maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of NDE techniques preferred, especially MPE, LPE, level II certification a bonus.
