We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Sales Engineer to lead and drive growth in our Services Division in Ghana.

 

Job Summary:

Sulzer is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer – Ghana, who will drive business growth by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and offering technical and commercial solutions for Sulzer’s rotating equipment services (pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, generators, etc.).  Act as a key link between customers and Sulzer’s technical teams to deliver value-added service solutions across Ghana. Required  frequent travel for customer visits and presentations, along with expertise in report writing, business presentations, and CRM systems such as Salesforce

 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Service Sales: Consultative value selling approach by adding value for both the Customer & Sulzer, whilst ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and value-added proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicating details in accordance with Sulzer offering and strategy (farming
  • installed base, value selling, coordination of delivery times, payment and general terms & conditions.
  • Volume & Profit: Selling service portfolio and solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix, value selling and profitability targets for assigned product lines.
  • Customer Relations: Establishing & maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of service portfolio offering, and aligning to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the Sales process.
  • Sales Plans: Preparing Sales plans using company tools/platforms (CRM), effective management of Opportunities pipeline, perform regular status reviews, and proposes recovery plan(s) with anticipated risks to budgets.
  • Provide Strategic sales and market feedback to Management to enhance decision making.
  • Facilitate sales enquiries from inception, through sales, contract management and delivery of product line solutions.
  • Compliance with all Sulzer regulations and commercial standards.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts.
  • All other duties as relevant to the post

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 Years of sales, business development, and tendering experience within an engineering environment
  • A postgraduate qualification or professional certification in sales or business development would be advantageous
  • Commercial exposure.
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • SAP and CEM or similar CRM tools, business presentation, and report writing.
