We provide a challenging and rewarding work environment where diversity is valued as a key driver for success. We are currently seeking a passionate, driven, and motivated Account Manager to join our Cardiff Service Centre. 

The Account Manager will be responsible for prospecting and developing a new customer base, whilst expanding and diversifying opportunities for the existing customer base in the designated area/region. 

Responsibilities 

  • Carry out sales activities and develop specific customer strategic plans to maximize efficiency and sales opportunities in line with both the Company’s technical capability and RES Australia’s strategic plans.
  • Manage an assigned region of select existing customers within the assigned market to maximize the RES business from these customers. 
  • Liaise and visit customers on a predetermined schedule, keeping regular contact either face to face, phone, email, online meetings, and digital platforms
  • Regular KPI review every quarter to assess and improve sales performance 
  • Provided detailed information to the RES Manager and/or SC Managers in the region to support the quotation process.
  • Full utilization of CRM for customer opportunities, account details, developing and managing a reliable and accurate pipeline to estimate and meet Order Intake budget.
  • Organize, participate in, and support all marketing and networking events.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

 

Contract Management

  • Escalation points for issues with Client; including management of client, keeping up to date on status, and resolving issues.

 

Customer Relationship

  • Drive Customer satisfaction and retention through regular engagement and obtaining customer feedback. 

 

Leadership / Management

  • Work with relevant personnel to keep account activities, literature, and CRM database up to date. 
  • Provide appropriate reports to the business on sales activities and performance as required.

Experience 

  • Advantage coming from Trade qualifications in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Previous experience within Energy, Power, Oil & Gas, Mechanical, Pumps, Electric Service, Turbine required
  • 5+ Years’ experience in sales/customer service roles. 
  • 5+ years experience with Electrical / Mechanical products.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office packages and CRM databases 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High-level negotiation skills.
  • High-level skills in time management.
  • Ability to engage and work with others.
  • Travel ~ >30% of time.
  • Ability to quickly develop and interpret technical data
