Join our Chemtech team in Singapore as Senior Business Development Manager to help us take our business to the next level.  

 

Purpose of the role

 

The purpose of the Senior Business Development Manager is to drive sustainable growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in the chemical, petrochemical, bio- and emerging industries, while also maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.

The Senior Business Development Manager will represent the Process Plants (PP) BU at industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events. This not only involves showcasing the company’s offerings, but also gathering insights, spotting trends, and making connections that can drive future business that align with the Sulzer/Chemtech’s Ambitions 2028 vision and goals.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Lead efforts to acquire new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Manage large sales contracts and external partnership agreements.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Monitor and report on business development performance metrics.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, product) to drive business growth.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the field of chemicals & fuels from renewables & circular feedstocks.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Masters in Chemical Engineering
  •  >5-7  years as technical sales manager, market/business development manager in the field of process solutions for bio-chemicals and/or bio-fuels and/or renewable/circular industries.

  • Profound experience in developing early-stage customers into partners and/or developing these into sales projects, market development and application/portfolio management.

  • Solid experience with working cross-functional and multicultural teams in sales, applications/product and/or business development.
