Sales and Business Development Manager - Full Time - Singapore/Malaysia

Join our Rotating Equipment Services Sales team at Sulzer South East Asia as Sales and Business Development Manager with focus on Turbo Services and Pump Services.


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Developing growth strategies and plans focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction on Rotating Equipment Services Business
  • Delivering profitable growth and high-quality services and fulfilling the company's overall business plans and strategies.
  • Identifying, developing and securing LTSA’s with main customers throughout the SEA region
  • Support sales team with in-depth technical knowledge of business products and value proposition (presentation to Customer, organizing sales meeting)Negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Core and adjacent market opportunity analysis, customer and competitor analysis, technology assessment, partnership strategy and identification of potential acquisition targets.
  • Evaluate, negotiate and manage the most complex or strategically important business opportunities, that will contribute to organization’s mid and long-term business goals.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Increasing client base
  • Writing business proposals (including support Area Sales Manager to review bid document, calculation sheet and commercial proposal)
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and Sulzer guidelinesBuild long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Overseeing the development of marketing literature
  • Support AR Collection
  • Any other duties that are assigned by superior



To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Willing to travelling
  • Understanding of Turbines, compressors and pumps is required
  • Electric Motor and Generator is an advantage
  • Experience in customer support 
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical. Eng’g preferred
  • Management of rotating equipment with knowledge of industry practices & standards is an advantage
  • Having good relation/ networking with Key Customer in Power sector, Mining, Oil and Gas
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role on related industry (at least 7-10 years)
  • General computer skills
