R&D Engineer - Full Time - SingaporeSingapore

 

Join our Chemtech division in Singapore as R&D Engineer to help us take Chemtech to the next level. 

 

 

Purpose of the job:

In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You are required to assemble, conduct and operate pilot testing related to the company's separation process technology. The individual will also work closely with process engineers and sales team to develop and commercialize chemical processes.

This is a new headcount, permanent position to support the pilot plant operations.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Setting up, operating and maintaining pilot plant equipment related to the company's separation process technology
  • Collaborating on cross functional teams to conduct experimental runs while maintaining a safe working environment
  • Utilizing strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible/extended schedules with rotating shifts (days, afternoons or overnights) if needed
  • Carry out HAZOPs and complete HAZOP action items
  • Experience in transporting and handling chemicals in different packaging sizes

 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/Degree in Chemical engineering, Biochemical engineering, Environmental engineering or related fields
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in industrial plant, pharmaceutical, petrochemical or flavor and fragrance process environment.
  • Knowledge of separation processes such as distillation, Liquid-Liquid extraction, and crystallization.
  • Experience in commissioning and operating process plant. 
  • Knowledge of conducting Risk Assessment, methodology in Process Safety (PHA, What-ifs,), Change Management.
  • Working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls, Mechanical systems etc

 

Location: We are based in Cleantech 3 (This role is for our new R&D Test Centre)
