Join our Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Malaysia team within Services Business Unit division as a Senior Sales Engineer to help us take service operation to the next level.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

Purpose of the Job

 

Responsible for generating and converting enquiries into profitable orders for the countries, regions and customers within their allocated territory.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • To develop growth plans for his/her own countries/customers, gain approval from Regional Sales Director, and implement and execute these growth plans that align and support the overall growth strategy of the region - spares and retrofit to be given equal focus
  • To plan autonomous/discrete customer visits based on the growth plan and generate enquiries from customers
  • To create business opportunities by increasing customer interaction in particular through increased valuable, productive face-time with the customer at relevant level
  • To ensure our main customers are visited on a regular basis and their needs are efficiently looked after
  • To own the assigned countries/customers that he/she is responsible for and follow up all opportunities for all the installed pump base inclusive Turbomachinery equipment’s
  • To follow up all quotes in a timely manner with the customer and/or agent and ensure sales funnel  is kept up to date with accurate information for forecasting purposes.
  • To produce and own the sales funnel & forecasting for Order Intake and Order Intake GP for the countries/customers that he/she is responsible for
  • To collaborate frequently with Retrofit Sales team and involve them in cases of retrofit opportunities asap
  • To create visit reports after project related visits, which provides non-involved colleagues a broad insight in the status of the project
  • To communicate frequently with the tendering teams regarding enquiries and open tender
  • To drive local “retrofit events” to keep our customers aware that we can solve their problems – work with engineering to ensure we are portrayed as the industry leading problem solver
  • To ensure we follow our Agent Management Guidelines for the countries that he/she is responsible for
  • To actively drive strategic growth initiatives
  • To support the Operations function in resolving problems with contracts and managing the relationship with the end user to ensure it is maintained
  • To contribute to the development of the APAC Sales Organisation as required

 

Safety Responsibilities

  • To adhere strictly to the company and national ESH regulations and operational procedures
  • To contribute development of environmentally friendly products and solutions
  • To participate and contribute to consultation process in health and safety related activities, where applicable
  • To report all ESH potential and actual incidents to line manager or site ESH manager
  • To help prevent and report any environmental and health and safety violations in the workplace

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

 

Education requirements:

 

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering

 

Job experience:

 

  • Relevant experience within related industry (Oil & Gas and Power)
  • Experience of implementing sales strategy
  • Knowledge of pump parts, service and retrofit sales
  • Financial/budget management

 

Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):

  • General computer skills
