Application and Sales Engineer - Full Time - Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia

Purpose of the Job
- Prepare technical proposals and commercial tenders
- Interface with front-sales and monitor progress of projects
- Co-ordinate projects with head office, regional offices and agents
- Prepares internal handover meeting
- Visiting and presents Sulzer portfolio to the customers
- Technical support to Sales; including meetings, presentations and technical discussions with customers
- Represent MTCS and Sulzer interests in all aspects of the contract or project (including the interests of other Business Units or CT units)
- Act quickly on queries from others, work to schedule and specification or contract requirement and ensure on-time delivery of tasks assigned

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Prepare and co-ordinate technical and commercial proposal activities with Regional Offices and Local Headquarters
- Prepare price calculation and tender documentation
- Work closely with cross-functional departments (process design & technology, project management, shipping/logistic, inter-company) and suppliers/sub-contractors to prepare cost estimates for tenders
- Ensure that the specifications offered to the customer are within the capability and capacity of the company
- Ensure that the customers’ requirements are adequately conveyed and properly reflected in proposal.
- Any other duties that are assigned by superior.

- Internal: Headquarters, Regional Offices, Sales Offices

To succeed in this role, you will need:
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor holder in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Job experience:
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in back-office sales within the chemical process / petrochemical / fine chemical / oleochemical industries.
- Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):
- Excellent in both oral & written English
- Fair knowledge of chemical separation processes knowledge
- Require business travel, particularly in the EAPA region.
