Head of Finance & Controlling - Full Time - Santiago, Chile
Join our team within Flow division in Chile as Head of Finance & Controlling to help us take finance to the next level.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration with other areas, and continuous improvement.
- Assume overall leadership of daily financial and control operations, including financial reporting, planning and analysis, accounting, internal controls, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with business partners by providing them with complete and timely financial information to support business management and decision-making, as well as to formulate financial plans and develop actions to achieve the objectives agreed upon with the division or business unit.
- Work with business partners to prepare plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Communicate all relevant issues to internal and external stakeholders in an effective and timely manner.
- Review and evaluate all issues related to internal controls and risks of the legal entity, coordinating with colleagues to ensure that risk management policies and procedures are effectively managed and applied, and supporting internal and external audits on financial issues related to operations and new businesses.
- Deliver appropriate books and records for the legal entity, complete and submit financial closing reports to the Group in a timely manner, and submit regulatory financial statements in a timely manner. Responsible for signing financial reports.
- Prepare monthly reports on income, expenses, cash flow, and all other aspects of control for the legal entity; manage the costs of the legal entity and review its financial statements.
- Analyze variances between actual data, rolling forecasts, and budget. Be proactive in helping business partners create plans to address identified deficiencies and implement improvements.
- Manage monthly variances in manufacturing, establish and analyze KPIs, and identify deficiencies and improvement measures.
- Establish and Manage KPI tracking and monitoring.
- Oversee and control capital expenditures.
- Manage the costs of the legal entity, ensuring compliance with cost calculation rules and supporting business partners in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate financial contracts and bid orders from a cost and risk perspective.
- Oversee the financial closing and internal reporting process from start to finish.
- Ensure compliance with all group-defined standards and guidelines in all financial processes (e.g., intercompany, treasury, tax).
- Assume responsibility for the internal control system (ICS) and global DoA within the legal entity.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- University Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 10 years of experience of finance and controlling in international industrial environment.
- SAP knowledge meriting.
- Very good experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Prior Financial Analysis / Management experience is a must.
- Strategic leader with strong grasp of core financial concepts, including cost accounting, reporting, revenue recognition, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and deep business understanding.
- Very strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple improvement initiatives at once, very good project management skills.
- High English / Spanish native speaking.
