Join us at JWC Sulzer known for legendary shredders and screens, including the Muffin Monster® – the world’s first dual-shafted sewage grinder. This is an exciting opportunity where you lead & motivate team of operational buyers within JWC. You will liaise & Co-operate with Strategic Procurement & category managers in the Sulzer Group implementing long term sourcing strategies; selecting, developing and managing suppliers, interacting effectively with global internal teams among others Tendering, Global Category Managers, PD, R&D and the multiple local teams at the WIBU manufacturing units. 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead & motivate JWC buyers team on daily operational duties associated with role
  • Develop team , including selection and onboarding of new team members to be proficient in their role
  • Develop own technical knowledge of product
  • Train, develop, appraise, coach all procurement staff in their roles
  • Innovate, drive continuous improvement culture and can do attitude within team and wider NW to ensure continuous improved performance & service

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Third level qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 yrs in similar role.
  • Leading by example - Operational buyer team
  • Ability to think critically and have all the necessary skills (example. Product cost break down analysis)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma
  • Identify and mitigate risks in procurement processes and activities
  • Travel requirement in the role up to 20%
  • Presentation skills on MGMT level
