Join our Sulzer Turbo Services, Purwakarta team within Services Business Unit division as Workshop Mechanic help us take service operation to the next level.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

Receive and performs the Foreman’s instruction on all mechanical work and maintenance operations utilizing equipment to achieve acceptable quality standards in a safe, efficient, neat and timely manner.

Estimated Travel Time:

  • Perform all work on jobs in a safe, efficient, neat and timely manner.
  • Receives and implements the foreman’s instruction on each job assignment.
  • Plans, organizes and directs activities on jobs that the employee has been assigned.
  • Performs regular maintenance services on all equipment at the service center, such as the air compressor sand blaster, water pumps, machine tools, overhead cranes, forklift, electric motors, telephone system, fire system and alarm system.
  • Performs trouble shooting on equipment that has malfunctioned at the service center, such as the air compressor, sand blaster, water pumps, machine tools, overhead crane, forklift, electric motors, telephone system, fire system and alarm system.
  • Knows how to start / operate all the equipment in the workshop, such as the air compressors, sand blasters, steam cleaner, forklift and overhead cranes.
  • Knows how to properly use hand tools and small grinding equipment such as the belt sander, bench grinders, vices and heating torches.
  • Knows how to completely disassemble machinery equipment including recording all the required data and proper marking of all the parts.
  • Knows how to completely assemble machinery equipment including recording all required data successful operation.
  • Knows how to use and read all measuring devices.
  • Maintains data recorded during disassembly and re-assembly of machinery equipment and reports and discusses with foreman at the completion of the assignment or job.
  • Follows and complies with company policies and procedures and reports to foreman on any unclear issues.
  • Controls quality of work frequently by continuous inspection of work in progress.
  • Keep the working area clean and neat.
  • Keeps hand tools clean and checks inventory daily.
  • Performs field service work on machinery equipment and supports the field service manager in achieving customer on site requirements.
  • When on assignment in the field, the employee is responsible for calling the office at least once per day and communicating the progress of the job and any other communications associated with the customer or job requirements.
  • Knows how to fill in time sheet and expense report correctly and submit on time.
  • Report to foreman and advises problems or difficulties that the employee is having on the job or task being performed in a timely manner to eliminate excessive loss of time.
  • When a problem or difficulties arise on a job or task the employee should actively assist the foreman with ideas and solutions to correct the problem.
  • Learns to plan and anticipate requirements for a job such as what tools are required and what small parts or materials are required.
  • Responsible for cleaning up the work area putting away all tools and materials at the end of the shift or completion on the job or task.
  • Follow any task as per QESH procedure and work instructions
  • Conduct Pre-task Risk Assessments prior job commencement
  • Involve setting up and update HIRADC
  • Intervene when see any unsafe act and condition. Record in observation card
  • Attending Toolbox meeting and sharing if any HSE best practice
  • Maintain and wear PPE properly as task risk exposure

 

What you bring to Sulzer:

 

  • Fresh graduate from Diploma mechanical or from Senior High School with experience 5 years in mechanical (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Pump, Turbo Expander)
  • Good reporting skill, reporting any finding in the field
  • Understand how to use measurement tools like dial indicator, Vernier Caliper and Micrometer.
  • Understanding how to read Manufacture drawing and cross-sectional drawing are a must.
  • Understand how to read technical manual for specific assigned equipment.
  • Understand assembly and disassemble Rotating equipment.
  • Good command in writing and verbal of English language.
  • Familiar with Rotating equipment.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Requirements
  • Safety & Health Awareness, Hygiene Awareness, Fire Fighting & Hydrant PPE
  • Familiar with measurement device
  • Corrective Action Steps
