We are looking for a Workday Functional Specialist  to join our GF_Human Resources + Payroll  team in India .

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Support the deployment of Workday by providing cross-functional expertise, ensuring successful configuration, testing, and roll-out of Workday modules globally.

  • Act as a system expert for Workday, supporting Core HCM and other modules (e.g., Talent, Compensation, Recruiting) during both deployment and post-implementation phases.

  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure Workday functionality aligns with business needs and global HR processes.

  • Provide day-to-day support to HR teams on Workday functionality, troubleshooting issues, and answering queries.

  • Configure and maintain Workday modules, including managing business processes, security settings, and integrations.

  • Monitor Workday updates and releases, assessing their impact and implementing new features to optimize system performance.

  • Support data governance efforts by ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with global data privacy regulations.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.

  • Deliver training and documentation to ensure HR teams and end-users effectively utilize Workday functionality.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency through Workday’s capabilities.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • 3+ years of experience working with Workday, with cross-functional expertise in modules such as Core HCM, Talent, Compensation, and Recruiting.

  • Experience supporting global Workday deployments and ongoing maintenance is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of configuring Workday modules and troubleshooting complex issues.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and how they align with Workday functionality.

  • Experience with Workday configuration, including business processes, security, and integrations.

  • Ability to analyze and leverage Workday data for reporting and insights.

  • Knowledge of global data privacy regulations and their impact on system management.

  • Education: Bachelor / Master - Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

  • Certifications: Workday certifications in relevant modules are a plus.
