Workday Functional Specialist - Full Time - Pune, India

We are looking for a Workday Functional Specialist to join our GF_Human Resources + Payroll team in India .
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Support the deployment of Workday by providing cross-functional expertise, ensuring successful configuration, testing, and roll-out of Workday modules globally.

Act as a system expert for Workday, supporting Core HCM and other modules (e.g., Talent, Compensation, Recruiting) during both deployment and post-implementation phases.

Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure Workday functionality aligns with business needs and global HR processes.

Provide day-to-day support to HR teams on Workday functionality, troubleshooting issues, and answering queries.

Configure and maintain Workday modules, including managing business processes, security settings, and integrations.

Monitor Workday updates and releases, assessing their impact and implementing new features to optimize system performance.

Support data governance efforts by ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with global data privacy regulations.

Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.

Deliver training and documentation to ensure HR teams and end-users effectively utilize Workday functionality.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency through Workday’s capabilities.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

3+ years of experience working with Workday, with cross-functional expertise in modules such as Core HCM, Talent, Compensation, and Recruiting.

Experience supporting global Workday deployments and ongoing maintenance is strongly preferred.

Proven track record of configuring Workday modules and troubleshooting complex issues.

Strong understanding of HR processes and how they align with Workday functionality.

Experience with Workday configuration, including business processes, security, and integrations.

Ability to analyze and leverage Workday data for reporting and insights.

Knowledge of global data privacy regulations and their impact on system management.

Education: Bachelor / Master - Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

Certifications: Workday certifications in relevant modules are a plus.
