Commissioning Engineer- POFC - Full Time - Pune, India

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer- POFC  to join our CT_Polymer & Crystallization  team in India .

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Prepare and implement documents and procedures for commissioning and start-up of chemical plants according to agreed terms and conditions.
  • Develop Start-up and commissioning plan and execution strategies of our chemical plants.
  • Leading commissioning and start-up of chemical plants, according to contractual agreements with our customers up to 50% of the working time. 
  • Analysis and evaluation of extensive operational data from commercial plants
  • Participate in the key design reviews such as P&ID, Equipment Layout, and HAZOP to ensure that the pre-commissioning and commissioning requirements are incorporated into the design of the facilities.
  • Process design and sizing of Sulzer proprietary equipment in Polymerization technology
  • Acts as a mentor for the commissioning engineers and new employees for the related technology. 
  • Ensure know-how transfer of Commissioning learnings within the process engineering team.
  • Close collaboration with Team leads and lead engineers of other technologies and departments.
  • Active contribution to a sustainably positive perception of Sulzer.
  • Apply Sulzer processes, directives, QESH regulations, standards, and systems (management system, 10 golden rules etc.) and act according to Sulzer values and behaviors.
  • Global travelling about 50% of the time. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5-10 years of work experience.
  • Experience with chemical plant commissioning and operation, ideally with the related knowledge about rotating equipment like extruders, gear pumps, pelletizing system, dosing systems.
  • Work Location: Kharadi, Pune
