Join our Services_APAC  team within Services division in Australia as PS Solutions Engineer to help us take engineering to the next level. 

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Provide technical support to customer and Front end team
  • Provide technical support to service centers and field service including but not limited to:
    a. Review inspection report
    b. Provide recommendations for method of repair
    c. Provide possible cause of failure based on observations made on components during inspection
    d. Provide recommendation of upgrade based on findings
    e. Provide guidance and recommendations for strip down, assembly and setting for complex equipment in liaison with Experts
    f. Assist them with instructions for complex commissioning or troubleshooting
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis which consists of:
    a. Liaise with customer to gather data required for analysis
    b. reviewing site data and reports
    c. prepare detailed root cause failure analysis report with background, result of analysis and recommendations
  • Conduct on-site performance assessment which consist of:
    a. Take measurement on equipment at site with vibration analyzer, ultra-sonic flow meter, thermodynamic method, …
    b. Analyze data collected during the site assessment
    c. prepare detailed report with background, result of analysis and recommendations 
  • Liaise with Sulzer factories and oversea engineering teams when additional information is required on equipment to reply to customer queries, support service center or conduct root cause failure analysis 
  • Liaise with Sales, Tendering and Engineering for the development of repair and retrofit proposals that meet customer requirements and can be successfully executed. 
  • Conduct detail engineering required for modification and upgrade of equipment in the service center, by overseeing and arranging drawings, Bill Of Material, specifications. 
  • Conduct or supervise reverse engineering of components in the service center or at customer site with conventional measuring tools and 3D scan. 
  • Participate in and actively support company initiatives that support growth

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Pumps Knowledge and Experience is a must
  • English spoken and written
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant experience in Power and Oil & Gas industries, including knowledge of industry process, practices & standards.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the rotating equipment industry, and 5 years of experience in centrifugal pump and turbo-machinery design, testing and repair for Oil & Gaz and power sector
  • Relevant experience in using calculation tools and software for rotating equipment selection and design
  • Design and draughting skills
  • CAD (2D and 3D), and general computer skills
