Our Perth Service Centre is home to a dedicated team of engineers, fitters, and technicians, providing high-quality services to customers across industries including mining, power generation, and heavy manufacturing.

 

We’re looking for an Electrical Fitter – EX Motors to join our crew. If you have hands-on experience with electrical rotating equipment and want to make an impact, this could be your next move. In this role, you’ll also act as one of the Responsible Persons for the site – Leading the repair and overhaul of all EX rated hazardous equipment.

 

🔌 What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervise, repair and overhaul of explosion protected rotating equipment
  • Signing off all hazardous repairs as the responsible person
  • Repairing Low Voltage and High Voltage rotating machinery
  • Assembling and disassembling motors and generators
  • Performing static & dynamic/on-line electrical testing
  • Occasionally attending customer sites to carry out repairs
  • Working with your Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly

 

🧰 What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Certificate III in Electrical Fitting – essential
  • AS/NZS 3800 Qualified and competent
  • State-issued Electrical Licence or Permit – Preferred but not essential
  • 4+ years’ experience in motor overhaul and repairs (DC, HV, LV)
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Excellent attention to detail and reliability in your work
  • Willingness to lead by example and take ownership of your section
