Trainee - Pilot Plant Engineering - Full Time - OberwinterthurSwitzerland

We are looking for a Pilot Plant Engineering Trainee for 6 months to join our Chemtech, Innovation and Technology team in Oberwinterthur.


 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Assisting our R&D Engineers in their current projects for our Separation Technology Business Unit.
  • Typical products are structured and random packing, trays and gas/liquid or separators. The R&D projects cover all steps from the concept phase to a market-ready product: test setup, experiments, data evaluation and finally reporting. Your assitance will be required at any of these stages.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Studies in chemical or process engineering (or related fields) with a solid understanding of mass transfer and separation technology.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office as well as a good eye for data visualization. CAD knowledge and programming skills are an advantage.
  • Besides a solid theoretical basis, basic mechanical skills and hands-on experience with pilot plants are beneficial.
  • Since the test facilities require frequent modifications, your enthusiasm for practical work is essential. You are able to coordinate and prioritize various tasks and are open to learning as well as expressing your own ideas.
