R&D Lab Technician Bio-Based Solutions - Full Time - 1 Year - Oberwinterthur, Switzerland

We are looking for a R&D Lab Technician to join our Bio-Based Solution team in Oberwinterthur.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Contribute to the development of production and purification processes for bio-renewables.
  • Perform synthesis and purification experiments from the lab-scale up to pilot level, implement characterization experiments and contribute to their optimization.
  • Analyze, process and demonstrate results in reports and internal meetings.
  • Contribute to setting up new lab and pilot infrastructure.
  • Support pilot-scale trials in the field of renewable bio-monomer and -polymer production.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • A completed Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
  • A strong background in chemical engineering and purification processes such as distillation, filtration, adsorption/desorption and liquid-liquid extraction.
  • Experience with relevant analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, titrations, ICP-OES).
  • Know-how of process design and organic chemistry is regarded as an advantage.
