Join our Bio-monomers and Bio-polymers R&D team within the Chemtech division in Switzerland as an R&D Engineering Intern and help us take our Bio-based Solutions to the next level.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Contributing to the development of sustainable production processes for bio-monomers.
- Performing lab-scale synthesis, up-scaling, characterization experiments and contribute to their optimization.
- Analyzing, processing and demonstrating results in reports and internal meetings.
- Contributing to the transfer of lab-scale results to the pilot scale.
- Supporting pilot-scale trials in the field of bio-monomer and -polymer production.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- To be an excellent (final year) master’s or PhD student with a major in chemistry, material science, chemical engineering or biomedical engineering along with experience in (bio-)polymer chemistry.
- A strong background in conducting organic synthesis as well as knowledge of polymerization and depolymerization processes.
- Experience with relevant analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, GPC, titrations).
- Know-how of process design and separation technologies is regarded as an advantage.
- Fluency in English. Any other language is an advantage.
- Skilled in the use of MS Office 365 applications.

The internship is intended to begin from the 1st of October 2024 and lasts for six (6), up to nine (9), consecutive months - depending on your availability. Starting time can be negotiated based on curriculum needs and individual situations.
