Join Alba Power in Netherley, Aberdeenshire, as our Fitter to help drive the workshop to the next level.

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Repair and overhaul of industrial gas turbines, power turbines and associated accessories and equipment
  • Strip, sub assembly and final build of industrial gas turbines and power turbines
  • Documentation completion relating to the overhaul process
  • Recording of all critical fits/clearances
  • Identifying and reporting on any out-of-tolerance measurements or non-conformances

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum NC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), preferably HNC Mech. Eng
  • Where formal qualifications are not held, suitable proven experience is essential
  • Good written and verbal communication (English)
  • Flexible approach, team player and ability to work independently
  • Able to work away from home, communicating effectively back to Head Office as required
  • Working knowledge of industrial gas turbines and/or power turbines and associated equipment
  • Ability to understand and communicate illustrated parts catalogues
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings

Location: We are a well-established and progressive workshop based in Netherley, Aberdeenshire.  You will be joining a team of 70 experienced and knowledgeable engineers, working on a variety of gas turbine and power turbine models from our purpose-built facilities.
