Spare Parts Controller - Full Time - Netherley United Kingdom

As a Spare Part Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing spare parts and repair requests, ensuring seamless communication with customers and internal departments, and driving business growth through efficient project management. As a Spare Part Controller, you will be responsible for handling customer requests for spare parts and repairs, from initial inquiry to final invoicing. This role involves generating and submitting quotations, coordinating with internal departments to support customer needs, managing projects, and maintaining regular communication with customers and suppliers.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries for spare parts and repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal functions to ensure comprehensive support for customer requests.
  • Prepare and submit quotations to customers, demonstrating Gross Margin for approval.
  • Manage projects from order receipt to completion, ensuring timely execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify trends and patterns to inform business decisions and Request For Quotation (RFQ ) evaluations.
  • Facilitate the execution and completion of customer orders, from purchase order receipt to final invoice approval.
  • Provide updates to customers on order status.
  • Support pricing and cash collection efforts for additional/replacement parts.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, ideally in a capacity involving stock control/inventory management, customer interaction, and internal stakeholder coordination.
  • Previous quoting experience, demonstrating strong customer interaction skills is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for documentation and data management.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Team player.
