Field Service Specialist / Technician - Full Time - Mississauga, Canada

Join our Water team within the Flow Equipment division in Canada as a Field Service Specialist / Technician to help us take Sulzer Pumps (Canada) Inc. to the next level.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist with addressing technical service problems within North America
- Acting technical support for Sulzer direct offices, Sales Distributors, Sales Representatives and Authorized Service Centers.
- Execution of on-site “Start-up” procedures for equipment sold including completing all forms and templates in accordance with existing Service procedures
- Perform “on-site” start-up and troubleshooting on all Sulzer Wastewater products (pumps, mixers, blowers, turbo-compressors, and controls)
- Provide start-up training
- Coordination with parties to facilitate installation of proposed equipment, including definition of scope, obtain on-site verification that all pre-requisites for installing equipment is met, and final check of the installed equipment prior to commencing start-up procedures
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience with blowers and turbo-compressors is a plus
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electric motors and submersible pumps, previous experience working with control panels, PLC’s, VFD’s, and Electrical and/or Mechanical Certifications are a plus
- Ability to work with rotating equipment, meggers, VOM’s, amp probes, power meters, flow and pressure meters
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team player, flexible, and 100% customer service oriented
- Willingness to travel up-to 70% within North America
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook at a good working level
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 70 pounds
- Driving / Must have valid driver’s license
