QA/QC Engineer - Full Time - Middlesbrough, United Kingdom

To strengthen our commitment to quality, we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable QA/QC Engineer to join our UK Quality team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of site-based projects by upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance. You’ll bring a hands-on, detail-oriented approach and be confident working independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments. With strong technical expertise and excellent stakeholder communication skills, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Create and maintain project-specific Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Monitor adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle, including sitework
- Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions with site teams
- Perform internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 compliance
- Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure all quality requirements are achieved
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or site-based project environments is preferred
- In-depth understanding of ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, and VCA-SCC
- PCN Level 2 (or above) in Visual Testing and Dye Penetrant Testing
- VCA Qualified
- Broad NDT awareness
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured, organised approach
- Ability to work independently and travel at short notice
- Strong report writing skills and general computer proficiency
- Customer service orientation with strong relationship-building skills
