We are looking for a/an Clean Water Application Engineer  to join our FE_WIBU  team in the United States .

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Provide applications engineering and tendering support to other applications engineers, sales managers, and distributors on clean water pump products.
  • Provide project engineering and technical support as required to other applications engineers and distributors throughout the Hold For Approval (HFA) process on buy/resell projects. 
  • Review proposals and contract documents/specifications and work with project management and other applications engineers to develop project plans and schedules.
  • Prepare submittals, including producing or overseeing the production of submittal data and drawings, and act as the technical leader throughout the HFA process promptly addressing technical issues, submittal comments, and preparing resubmittals as required.
  • After approval, oversee the release and order entry by preparing documentation required for manufacturing and procurement assuring the integrity of all design and order entry information, including performing MRP system work as necessary.  
  • Work with other Sulzer locations, sales channel, service, procurement, factory personnel, and suppliers as required to develop submittal data, develop product solutions, and resolve problems. 
  • Lead the resolution of technical problems that occur during production, testing, installation, and startup of equipment.
  • Work with project management as required developing project plans, participating in project-related meetings, and maintaining status reports.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • B.S. Engineering, Mechanical preferred, or equivalent.  Significant directly related experience considered in lieu of degree. 
  • Experience working in the US clean water equipment market, preferably with an equipment manufacturer.  Related municipal contractor or consultant experience considered.  
  • Technical knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, mechanical design, and basic control systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually, as part of a team, and with customers
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Project, and 2D CAD software, 3D CAD helpful

 

 

No visa or work permit support can be provided for this role. This is a work from home position unless you reside in Connecticut where our home office is located. Connecticut employees must travel to the office at least once a week....(subject to change).
