Applications Engineer HST - Full Time - Meriden (CT)United States

Join our Water team within Flow Equipment  division in United States as Applications Engineer HST .

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Providing technical support on the HST turbocompressor product line to distributors and sales management.
  • Review customer requirements and assist sales with proper specification and application of products; oversee release and order entry, including MRP system work, as needed.
  • Assist sales during specification development phase of projects to communicte features and benefits of Sulzer products.
  • Provide budgetary and final technical and cost proposals in support of direct bids to contractors and end users
  • Act as a technical product expert for contract submittals, managing technical issues, and supporting procurment. manufacturing and service.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's level degree in Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical, preferred)
  • Two (2) years minimum experience workng with high speed rotating equipment, preferably turbocompressors or blowers with an understanding of pumps, systems and basic electrical, instrumentation and controls, preferred.
  • Experience and working knowledge of the municipal and wasterwater industry, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe or equivalent, and AutoCAD.

Location: We are based in Meriden (CT). This role will work partially from the Meriden (CT) office and partially from home. This role is  not open to fully work from home.
