Service Technician Steam Turbines / Compressors (m/f/d) - Fulltime - Mannheim, Germany (potentially flexible)

In this versatile job, you will be responsible for service works on steam turbines and compressors of various types and makes.

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Repair, maintenance, testing and commissioning mainly of steam turbines and compressors in the workshop as well as in the plant of our customers (throughout Germany and possibly in other European countries)
  • Independent disassembly and assembly of the components as well as the entire units
  • First point of contact for the customer on site (if necessary, with the support of colleagues in the service center)

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic or comparable training / experience
  • Relevant professional experience in the service of steam turbines or compressors
  • Enjoyment of technical troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Ability to work in a team as well as a high level of customer and service orientation
  • Flexibility (including readiness for overtime as well as one-day and multi-day customer-site assignments)
  • valid driver's license (car)
  • good command of English (additional languages a plus)

Location: Ideally, employment contract is with our Mannheim location (but also possible at one of our other Sulzer locations). Our Service Center Mannheim is centrally located in the Rhine-Neckar triangle Ludwigshafen-Mannheim-Heidelberg, directly in the industrial area Mannheim-Neckarau. As part of a globally successful group, we offer our customers technical advice, inspection, preventive maintenance, servicing and repair of rotating machines (pumps, compressors, turbines), regardless of type, make and material. In addition, we offer a wide range of technical services such as damage analysis, system assessment, retrofitting of pumps and spare parts service. Our customers come mainly from the fields of power plant technology, petrochemicals/refineries, and chemical plants.
