We are looking for a Field Service Representative EMS to join our Services Business Unit division based at Philippines.

 

Purpose of the job

Supervises all mechanical and electrical personnel for the workshop and up to the delegation to the field service assignments. Ensures that all the mechanical and electrical work are carried out as per instructions and meet the quality standards in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Supervises employee for correct, efficient and timely work completion.
  • Ensures that company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Performs employee evaluations for the company management once per year. (Dec.)
  • Interviews and recommends potential new employees to Manager.
  • Monitor progress of the jobs each employee is assigned for.
  • Makes certain that the employee thoroughly understands his job assignment, how to do it and the expected time and the standard it should be completed in.
  • Monitors the quality of work by frequent / continuous inspection of work in progress.
  • Inspects and approves each intermediate step of job progress before employee proceeds with next step.
  • Assigns & approves all working hours and reports to EMS Operation Manager.
  • Coordinates information with other supervisor when his employees are working overtime.
  • Verifies the completion of work and approves timecards.
  • Coordinates schedule requirements and requisitions job materials and sub-vendor services as required
  • Ensures that delivery schedules will be met by communicating and coordinating with the other supervisors.
  • Ensures that job costs will be minimized by close monitoring of labor hours, material purchases, sub-contractor charges and material used.
  • Keeps job white cards up to date on a daily basis as portions of work are completed.
  • Knows job status and percentage completed at all times.
  • Works with customer representatives when they visit workshop for inspection/witness or supervise work being performed.
  • Provides work instructions for specific job details and releases them to the shop.
  • Reviews work instructions in progress and verify that specific steps are followed and adhered to.
  • Responsible for signing off final work instruction steps and transfer to the next operational department.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent. MBA qualification is a plus.
  • Having minimum 5 years as supervisor in electrical equipment repair business.(generator, motor, pump. Transformer, gear box, panel and control)
  • Advanced PC skill (Excel, Word, MS-Project etc.)
  • Having supervisory skill to handle approx. 20 permanent and contract workers at shop.
