Join our Sulzer Turbo Services, Philippines team as Senior Technical Manager to help us take service operation to the next level.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

To oversees the tendering and execution phases of projects by defining methodologies, resources, and schedules, serving as the main technical liaison with clients, and ensuring scope, quality, time, and cost objectives are met.

Estimated Travel Time: 50% to 60% (national and international)

During TENDERING PROCESS:

  • Technical coordinator in detailed step/methodology, identification of the required tools, equipment and manpower.
  • Point of contact between the potential client and Sulzer team for technical details, data collection, analysis, possible root causes in order to avoid reoccurrence after repair by Sulzer.
  • Create Planning/schedule from mobilization, execution, testing and commissioning up to Owner’s acceptance and document submission.

During PROJECT EXECUTION:

  • Project Manager roles, i.e. to manage scope, quality, time and cost of the project
  • Sourcing possible local resources of skilled manpower, tools, equipment, workshop
  • Attending meeting with the Client, provide response for their inquires, comments and concerns.
  • Coordinate/ discuss with the respective Sulzer’s team/ division.
  • Supervision of Sulzer’s team and subcontractor at site
  • Project progress internal meeting and report

Technical support In developing Sulzer Philippines Service Center facility and organization

  • Service center design review, construction supervision and testing of each installed equipment.
  • Assess the local demand/need of further expansion of facilities
  • Involve in the hiring process, training and supervision of the technical team.
  • Establish Quality Control documents, procedures, reporting and documentation system.
  • Create a high quality product/services to the customer’s satisfaction that will support Sulzer’s business expansion in the Philippines.
  • Build and maintain close connection with client and potential client, to be able to provide a solution when needed.

 

What you bring to Sulzer:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Having >5 years experience as a manager, mainly in repairing rotating equipment
  • Having knowledge in maintenance and overhaul of rotating equipment, such as turbine, compressor, generator
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager or Technical Coordinator in repair, maintenance, or commissioning projects
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to source and manage local manpower, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong client relationship management
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) for coordination with global teams.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willing to travel and work on project sites.
